She saw Fausto walking down the trail, so she pressed herself to the ground between the bushes. As he walked by, she tensed her muscles then pounced.
"RAAAAAWR!" She poised herself in front of him with the most menacing look she could muster up.
The only reaction his face made was the slight up-tilt of his mouth. His eyes looking sleepy as always. "That was cute, Ravine," Fausto told her as he maneuvered his way around her and continued down the trail.
Ravine's bottom lip stuck out in a pout, and she decided on another tactic. Quickly, she pounced on him from behind, hitting him in the shoulders, and somehow managing to get him pinned on his back. Her grin reached her ears as bent down and put her mouth down to his.
Fausto's face was quick to turn red as he flailed his paws around and stuck them over his mouth; squeezing his eyes shut. He waited for Ravine to do something, when he noticed it was silent. . . . Then he heard laughing. A lot of laughing. She'd pushed herself onto her back and proceeded to let out squeals of joy while rolling around. She was obviously enjoying herself.
Flustered and a bit confused, Fausto pushed himself up to his paws slowly, "You're mocking me aren't you?"
Her giggle fit subsided and she wiped a tear from her eye with a paw. "I'm sorry- sorry! hehe, I just got you good, huh?!" She let a few more chuckles slip before looking up at him.
"I am glad my shame brings out your happiness" He said with squinted eyes. He turned his head the other way.
"I'm only happy because you let me get to you, silly!" She walked to get in front of his face. "That makes me special, doesn't it?" Ravine flashed him her prettiest smile.
After a few moments of silence, he grabbed her from the hips and lifted her up and held her like a pup. "And for me to be able to make you laugh, that makes me special too, doesn't it?''
Speechless, she dangled from his arms like a rag-doll. Ravine's cheeks deepened to a cherry red and stared at him before her eyes started to water. That smile of hers spread across her face once again as she wriggled from his paws and slid down his arms. Her chest hit Fausto's and she continued to wrap her paws around what she could of his neck. With her nose nuzzled under her chin, she said, "Of course that does, Fausto. . . . Of course that does."
